what board are you riding at the moment and why? 5,10 Bullit in Holland. cause the waves are so fat and mushy here that some extra volume in the board works really well

Favourite surfer? jordy & johnjohn

Favourite surf trick? Barrels

What first got you into surfing? we have a house on the beach and in the summer i lived most time on the beach. my dad shaped a surfboard for me when i was really young, just for play. and then on a holiday in England, Woolacombe i got my first "real" surfboard

And how big a part does surfing play in your life? it means a lot. I always smile more when i can ride some waves! can't live with out it anymore i guess

What do you prefer then, free surfing or competitions and why? like both! with free surfing you can search for the best waves around and have some sick sessions. with competition it keeps you sharp and try to catch up with all the other guys/friends

What moment are you most proud of in your surfing career so far? to get some national titles in Holland, but the most that i can surf a lot and live on the beach. having some people around me with good vibes and support my surfing

What first got you into surfing? My Dad and seeing the local surfers around Newquay

And how big a part does surfing play in your life? Pretty big, I don't think I would be able to live without being able to go for a surf.

What do you prefer then, free surfing or competitions and why? I love free surfing but I think competitions are great for improving and pushing your level, also nothing better than getting a really good wave in a contest.

What moment are you most proud of in your surfing career so far? Getting second in the English Nationals earlier this year.
